Director, Human Resources - Costa Rica
Serve as a strategic Human Resources (HR) leader and trusted advisor. Accountable for setting and ensuring high-quality standards for HR service delivery. Provide consultative HR solutions and support to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent, and to align value-added HR programs/services to meet overall business objectives.
What You'll be DoingServe as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders, management and associates. Apply strong business acumen to design and implement strategic HR initiatives in concert with Costa Rica site and Operations leadership that advance organization goals.Design strategic initiatives to drive associate engagement, that support the complex and evolving needs of the workforce.Proactively manage recruitment and retention strategies to ensure continuity of qualified Associates to deliver quality products on time and beat industry retention benchmarks.Coach business leaders on associate communication, development and performance management strategies that promote engagement and reinforce Company goals and values.Partner with business leaders to develop talent strategies to build organizational capabilities, expand internal bench strength, and support organizational growth.Provide solutions to talent gaps or shifting business demands that leverage associate development opportunities, career/succession planning, and talent mobility.Collaborate closely with other HR functions to deliver seamless, integrated HR solutions that are aligned with Company initiatives.Proactively analyze trends and metrics to identify/communicate actionable insights and make data-driven recommendations that will enable the Company to thrive.Provide leadership, coaching, and development for direct reports.Implement the core Center of Excellence processes, training, and tools to ensure consistency worldwide.Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, ethics, and Company policies. Facilitate the creation of key policies, practices and procedures. Provide counsel to leaders which are consistent with local, national, international and industry policies.Responsible for resource allocation, including budget and staffing for functional area.Work on special and cross-functional projects as needed.Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum twelve (12) years of relevant HR work experienceMinimum five (5) years of experience managing a team and/or core HR functionsAdvanced leadership and influencing skillsStrong business and global acumenExceptional organizational, coaching, conflict resolution, and relationship skillsAbility to navigate in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams to socialize new ideas and educate stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skillsDeep working knowledge of Costa Rican employment laws and regulationsProficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and TeamsBi-Lingual (Spanish/English)
