Job OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to support the day-to-day Human Resources operations of a U.S.-based company. This role will work remotely and provide HR support to employees and managers across a variety of HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, benefits, payroll support, recruiting coordination, and offboarding.The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable handling confidential employee information while working independently in a remote environment.
ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day HR operations and respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related matters.Coordinate the onboarding process from offer acceptance through the new hire's first day, ensuring all documentation, systems access, and required steps are completed.Manage HR support tickets and ensure employee requests are addressed accurately and in a timely manner.Maintain and update employee records and information within the HRIS and other HR systems.Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate coordination, interview scheduling, and communication with hiring managers.Assist with employee offboarding and termination processes, including documentation, exit interviews, system updates, and coordination of final pay.Support payroll administration by researching and resolving payroll discrepancies, employee questions, and other payroll-related issues in coordination with the appropriate teams.Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee questions regarding benefit programs.Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, HR documentation, performance records, and other personnel information.Support HR compliance initiatives and ensure HR processes are consistently followed according to company policies and applicable U.S. employment practices.Assist with employee relations matters and escalate complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate HR leadership.Prepare HR reports and assist with maintaining accurate employee data and records.Support HR projects, process improvements, and other initiatives as needed.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar HR role.Working knowledge of U.S. HR practices, policies, and employment processes.Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Experience supporting onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee inquiries.Strong written and verbal English communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.Comfortable communicating and collaborating with employees and managers in a U.S.-based organization.
