Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a proactive, strategically-minded Human Resources professional to lead our organization's HR department. The selected candidate will be responsible for the full scope of human capital management, administration of the payroll platform (Paylocity), and internal HR processes — allowing senior leadership to focus on business growth, marketing, and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll and Systems Administration: Process bi-weekly payroll, oversee time and attendance tracking, and maintain up-to-date employee records in the Paylocity platform, training staff on proper system use.Recruitment and Selection: Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for sales, customer service, and logistics positions, including posting openings, interviewing, final selection, and coordinating onboarding.Employee Relations: Serve as the primary liaison between the company and its employees, addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and administering disciplinary actions in accordance with established policies.Legal Compliance and Government Agencies: Ensure compliance with Puerto Rico and federal labor laws (Law 80, Law 4, family leave provisions, etc.), managing claims and coordinating audits or cases with the Department of Labor (DTRH), State Insurance Fund (CFSE), SINOT, and OSHA.On-Site Visits: Conduct regular visits to store locations and the distribution center to assess working conditions, identify training needs, and verify compliance with occupational safety protocols.Organizational Development: Maintain and update the Employee Handbook, coordinate the annual performance review process, and support initiatives aimed at strengthening organizational culture.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: 3 to 5 years of demonstrable experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager.Systems: Prior hands-on experience with payroll and HR management platforms (Paylocity, ADP, Paycom, or similar) required.Legal Knowledge: Solid understanding of Puerto Rico labor law and OSHA regulations.Mobility: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between store locations and the distribution center.Languages: Bilingual (Spanish and English) with strong verbal and written communication skills.Preferred: Prior experience supervising staff in retail and/or distribution industries is highly valued.
