Human Resources Manager

The Opportunity
Our client, a leading company in the medical device industry located in Coyol Free Zone, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the site’s HR function and serve as a strategic business partner to the Site Leader and Leadership Team.This role goes beyond traditional HR administration. We are seeking a hands-on HR leader who understands manufacturing operations, talent and organizational development, and employee engagement, and who can help build the organizational capabilities needed to support the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Human Resources function for the Costa Rica operation.Partner with the Site Leader and Leadership Team on organizational structure, workforce planning, talent strategy, and business priorities.Identify organizational, leadership, retention, capacity, and talent risks and develop effective action plans.Lead recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, development, and retention initiatives.Coach managers and supervisors to strengthen leadership capability, accountability, communication, and employee engagement.Lead talent reviews, succession planning, career development, and key-position risk assessments.Use HR metrics and employee feedback to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.Ensure compliance with Costa Rican labor legislation, medical device industry regulations, company policies, and corporate HR standards.Lead and develop the local HR team and manage key HR service providers.Support organizational change, business growth, new programs, and workforce transformation.Foster a strong culture of performance, collaboration, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, or a related field.7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.5+ years of HR experience supporting manufacturing operations.3+ years in an HR leadership, HR Manager, or senior HR Business Partner role.Demonstrated experience working in multinational manufacturing organizations.Strong knowledge of Costa Rican labor legislation and employee relations.Proven experience in organizational development, workforce planning, talent management, recruitment, retention, and change management.Experience coaching managers and senior leaders and managing complex employee situations.Strong business acumen and ability to connect people strategy with manufacturing and business performance.Experience in medical devices, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.Advanced English proficiency (C1 or equivalent).
