IDB Invest is the private sector arm of the IDB Group, an international financial institution committed to addressing the development needs of Latin America and the Caribbean. IDB Invest operates in 26 countries, across four geographic regions and three industry verticals: Infrastructure and Energy, Financial Intermediaries, and Corporates. To support its “Originate to Share” business model, shareholders approved a $3.5 billion capitalization. This will allow IDB Invest to scale up investments, nearly doubling annual financing from approximately $8 billion to $19 billion.

IDB Invest is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Asset Liability Management (ALM) Senior Consultant. The role contributes to balance sheet management and key ALM initiatives, and takes ownership of day-to-day ALM activities and their continuous enhancement. The consultant will work in the ALM team within the Treasury Division, part of the Finance and Administration department.

The Treasury Division executes borrowing, hedging, trading, and cash management activities, as well as ALM for the overall balance sheet. It comprises four units: Funding, Investments, Local Funding Solutions, and ALM.

Responsibilities

• Manage market risk, liquidity risk, funds transfer pricing (FTP), and capital management activities.
• Lead or co-lead projects to enhance IDB Invest’s balance sheet management framework, including ALM, capital management, and funds transfer pricing.
• Secure stakeholder alignment.
