Role Description The Immigration Attorney will handle a full-time hybrid role based in San Juan, with a mix of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients on immigration options, preparing and filing applications and petitions, and managing cases related to work permits, permanent residence, and other immigration benefits. The attorney will conduct legal research, analyze complex immigration issues, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. The role involves communicating regularly with clients, drafting legal documents, attending interviews or hearings as needed, and collaborating with firm staff to ensure timely and accurate case processing. The attorney is expected to maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and uphold high ethical and professional standards in all client interactions.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Immigration Law and core Immigration concepts, with experience applying statutes and regulations to individual cases.Experience handling Immigration Issues and Legal Issues, including case analysis, legal research, and strategic case planning.Familiarity with Visas and related processes, including preparation of supporting documentation and response to government requests.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish (required)Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.Demonstrated commitment to client service, cultural sensitivity, and working with diverse communities.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating in the San Juan office and independently from home.
