Import & Warehouse Manager
Purpose of the roleThe Warehouse & Import Manager will lead Finished Goods Warehouse and Import operations in Mexico, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient product flow from factories and regional warehouses to the market and final customers. The role will drive warehouse excellence, import compliance, inventory accuracy, 3PL coordination, operational performance and continuous improvement, working closely with internal teams and external partners to strengthen service levels and supply chain efficiency.
Main Areas of ResponsibilitiesLead finished goods warehouse and import operations, managing the end-to-end flow of products across importation, transportation, receiving, storage, packing, shipping and last mile delivery, while ensuring compliance with quality, security, safety and local regulatory requirements.Manage the warehouse and import team, as well as 3PL partners, ensuring strong performance, clear expectations, proper training, adherence to company standards and alignment with the Warehouse Playbook. This includes managing, tracking and reporting relevant budgets such as LE/ASP, ME and OL.Build strong collaboration with suppliers, vendors, distributors and internal stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Procurement, Sales and Customer Service, to ensure product availability, smooth coordination and effective communication across the supply chain.Monitor operational data and warehouse/import KPIs to identify trends, improve efficiency, reduce costs and support continuous improvement in supply chain performance.Assess and implement best practices, technologies and automation opportunities to improve operational accuracy, productivity and overall warehouse efficiency.Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring that employees understand work-related risks, follow safety standards, participate in required training and comply with legal and company health and safety requirements.Ensure proactive reporting and prevention of unsafe conditions, encouraging safe behaviors, incident and near-miss reporting, and timely action to eliminate risks within the team’s scope of responsibility.Support additional projects and activities as agreed with the line manager, in line with the role’s scope, technical knowledge and development level.
RequirementsUniversity degree, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience leading or supervising warehouse, logistics or supply chain operations, ideally with exposure to continuous improvement projects. Customer service experience is a plus.Strong knowledge of warehouse, customs and supply chain operations, including inbound/outbound processes, storage, order preparation, transport coordination, documentation, stock accuracy and inventory management.Experience managing warehouse operations with 3PL outsourced models, including vendor coordination, service levels and operational performance.Knowledge of operational excellence methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, IWS or similar, with the ability to identify losses, improve processes and drive efficiency.Proven leadership skills in complex operational environments, with fluency in Spanish and English, and strong computer literacy, including MS Office, ERP and WMS systems.
