Industrial IoT-OT Field Engineer

About the role

Infarsight is seeking a hands-on, self-driven Industrial IoT/OT Field Engineer for full-time work in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The role leads deployment and integration in live customer environments, bridging operational technology (OT) and enterprise IT. The engineer serves as the primary technical point of contact during Phase-1 execution at the Arena/La Aurora Group client facility.

Responsibilities

• Commission and troubleshoot industrial protocol networks, including Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet/IP, RS-485, and Industrial Ethernet, across multi-vendor equipment such as HVAC/chillers, generator controllers, and compressor controls.
• Serve as the sole technical lead in customer environments and resolve field challenges by coordinating with OEM engineers, internal IT admins, and plant maintenance leads.
• Coordinate IT/OT networks by configuring static IPs, VLANs, DNS/NTP, and secure remote access (VPN/MFA) in alignment with customer network segmentation standards and IT policies.
• Implement and maintain industrial connectivity solutions following OT cybersecurity protocols, zero-trust access, and secure data transmission practices.
• Empower local teams through training and knowledge transfer.
