Information Technology Coordinator

Role Description The Information Technology Coordinator at BALRESA is a full-time, on-site role based in San Pedro Sula. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to internal users, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. The IT Coordinator will monitor system performance, maintain and update IT equipment, and ensure the reliability and security of network infrastructure. Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors and service providers, documenting incidents and resolutions, and assisting with IT projects such as system upgrades, backups, and implementations. The role also involves maintaining IT inventories, applying best practices for cybersecurity, and collaborating with other departments to support efficient and secure operations.Qualifications Strong Analytical Skills to diagnose issues, assess system performance, and support data-driven decision-making.Solid knowledge of Information Technology fundamentals, including operating systems, hardware, software, and basic cybersecurity concepts.Proven experience in Technical Support and Troubleshooting to assist end users and resolve technical incidents efficiently.Competence in Network Administration, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of local networks, routers, and switches.Excellent communication and customer service skills to support non-technical users in a clear and respectful manner.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent) are preferred.Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is an advantage.
