The Project Manager is a key member of the Information Technology (IT) Department and is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering IT initiatives on time and within budget. This role ensures alignment between business requirements, stakeholder expectations, and technical execution while driving successful project outcomes using Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and project scope to ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.Plan, organize, and monitor project activities while tracking progress and providing weekly status updates to stakeholders.Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in resolving issues that impact system functionality and project go‑live timelines.Clearly document and communicate system errors, including detailed descriptions and labeled supporting screenshots when available.Manage projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), ensuring milestones, deliverables, and deadlines are met.Maintain oversight of project execution to ensure adherence to scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
Additional responsibilities include:Prioritizing issues and backlog items based on stakeholder needs and business priorities.Ensuring epics, user stories, enhancements, tasks, and bugs are properly documented with clear acceptance criteria.Identifying and removing impediments that may affect project delivery.Encouraging consistent and accurate time logging by team members.
Scrum Master Responsibilities
In many projects, the Project Manager acts as the Scrum Master, leading Agile delivery efforts:Implement and promote Scrum principles throughout the software development lifecycle.Ensure epics, stories, tasks, and subtasks are clearly defined with appropriate acceptance criteria.Facilitate collaboration between the Scrum Team, Product Owner, and Business Analyst.Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.Ensure sprints follow defined timelines and Agile best practices.Prepare and track project metrics to measure progress and communicate performance to stakeholders.Create and maintain detailed meeting minutes in Confluence for all Scrum‑related meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written); 100% bilingual preferred.Strong business acumen and problem‑solving skills.Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management.Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office tools.Scrum Master or Product Owner certification (preferred).PMI certification (preferred).
