About the role
BMA Group Global is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a CloudOps/DevOps team, providing hands-on operational support in a dynamic technology environment. The role focuses on maintaining, supporting, and optimizing lab and infrastructure operations, with a foundation in physical infrastructure, virtualization, storage, networking, and automation.
This role requires relocation to Puerto Rico. Relocation support is provided for eligible candidates. The work model is hybrid, approximately 2 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure physical infrastructure and lab equipment, including rack/stack, cabling, power, and connectivity.
- Manage storage infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and operational support.
- Manage virtualization platforms and hypervisors, including health checks, daily operations, troubleshooting, and issue triage.
- Monitor and maintain compute, storage, and edge networking infrastructure to ensure availability and optimal performance.
- Execute Ansible-based automation workflows for infrastructure remediation, configuration, and recovery.
- Support and enforce network security controls and infrastructure security practices.
- Follow established runbooks, operational procedures, and security standards.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with CloudOps, DevOps, networking, security, and engineering teams to maintain operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Practical experience with physical infrastructure installation, configuration, and management.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies and hypervisors.
- Strong understanding of compute, storage, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Experience with Ansible automation and scripting.
- Foundational knowledge of networking and network security practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent documentation.
