Infrastructure Manager

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead the performance, reliability, governance, and continuous improvement of infrastructure services supporting a dedicated managed-services client.
This senior leadership role oversees Systems, Microsoft Azure, Network, and Datacenter teams, leading architects and team leads while ensuring secure, resilient, supportable, and high-performing infrastructure aligned with business priorities, contractual commitments, and customer expectations.
What You'll Do
Lead the operational performance, technical governance, reliability, and continuous improvement of the Systems, Azure, Network, and Datacenter teams.Lead and develop architects, team leads, and infrastructure engineers through coaching, performance management, development plans, cross-training, succession planning, certification goals, and hiring and retention initiatives.Ensure infrastructure SLAs, KPIs, availability targets, service commitments, operational standards, and customer satisfaction objectives are achieved.Govern the 24x7 on-call and escalation model and lead major incidents and complex escalations, coordinating technical teams, vendors, service management, and client stakeholders through service restoration.Drive problem management, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and follow-through for recurring incidents and major service failures.Review infrastructure architecture, engineering plans, operational changes, technical risks, lifecycle concerns, capacity constraints, dependencies, and remediation strategies.Oversee infrastructure security, vulnerability remediation, patching, audit findings, compliance, backup, recovery, disaster recovery, monitoring, availability, capacity, technical debt, documentation, and operational readiness.Partner with Service Delivery and Project Management teams on service reviews, QBRs, executive communications, resource planning, technical delivery, dependencies, risks, and project transitions into steady-state operations.Identify and justify requirements for tools, hardware, licensing, support, capacity, resilience, and technology refresh, providing recommendations for client evaluation and approval.Establish infrastructure standards, governance mechanisms, operating procedures, escalation models, ownership matrices, dashboards, documentation, and service improvement plans.Drive automation, observability, standardization, proactive maintenance, capacity planning, and measurable reductions in recurring operational issues.
What We're Looking For
Significant experience leading enterprise infrastructure operations, technical teams, or managed-services environments.Advanced understanding of infrastructure operations across Microsoft Azure, systems, networks, datacenters, virtualization, storage, backup, identity, monitoring, and disaster recovery.Strong experience with Azure and hybrid infrastructure, including governance, compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, backup, resiliency, and operational management.Strong knowledge of datacenter technologies, including VMware or Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux, SAN/NAS storage, clustering, high availability, capacity, and lifecycle management.Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, VPN, ExpressRoute, segmentation, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid connectivity.Advanced knowledge of ITIL and IT Service Management, including incident, major incident, problem, change, configuration, capacity, availability, service continuity, and continual improvement management.Experience managing 24x7 operations, on-call governance, escalations, service restoration, RCA, corrective and preventive actions, and operational communications.Strong understanding of infrastructure security, including vulnerability remediation, patch compliance, hardening, audit findings, risk tracking, and remediation evidence.Ability to challenge technical designs, identify architecture and operational risks, assess trade-offs, and translate technical debt, obsolescence, capacity constraints, and service risks into business impact and investment recommendations.
Technical Experience & Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent Azure experience.Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.ITIL Foundation, ITIL Managing Professional, or equivalent service management certification.Cisco, VMware, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, or equivalent infrastructure certifications.TOGAF, PMP, Scrum, or equivalent architecture and delivery certifications.Experience with Azure Arc, Azure Monitor, Infrastructure as Code, automation, observability, and modern hybrid operations platforms.
