Senior Databricks Data Engineer — remote, contract.
My team at SGS Analytics is looking for someone who has actually run Databricks in production.
Not a proof of concept, not a course project — pipelines that break at 3am and have to be fixed.
The work: batch and streaming pipelines, PySpark and Spark SQL transformations, Delta table design, CDC and incremental loads, and the unglamorous half of the job — optimizing shuffles, chasing skew, and keeping cluster costs honest.
You'd work directly with client engineering and analytics teams across fintech, SaaS, e-commerce, and healthtech. Nearshore, remote, contract.
Requirements are strong Spark/PySpark/SQL, real Delta Lake experience, the Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate.
