About the role
Mill is a waste prevention technology company reimagining how to eliminate waste, starting with food. Mill builds smart systems and infrastructure for homes, businesses, and municipalities that transform food scraps into valuable resources, including chicken feed.
As the first Inventory Accountant hired to the team, you’ll help establish foundational internal processes and complete operational accounting and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, reconcile, and report accounts.
- Own the accounting and reconciliation of inventory movements, including receipts, production consumption, transfers, returns, scrap, inventory adjustments, and cycle count variances.
- Partner with Contract Manufacturers and suppliers to investigate inventory discrepancies, validate transactions, and align physical inventory with ERP records.
- Review and support landed cost accounting.
- Track and reconcile inventory balances by part or SKU monthly.
