Job DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining automated tests to validate application functionality and quality. The role contributes to defect detection, regression coverage, and continuous testing efforts, helping ensure stable and reliable software releases. This role leverages AI tools and technologies to improve overall operational effectiveness. The QA Automation Engineer will work closely with QA team members, Product Management, Development, and Business Stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain scalable, reusable automated test scripts to validate test scenarios, new features, and application enhancements. Implement automated and AI solutions across functional, regression, UI, and API testing to ensure application quality and reliability. Review automated test run outcomes, document execution status, identify issues, and investigate failed test cases. Identify opportunities to expand automation coverage by converting repetitive manual test scenarios into automated tests. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate integrations between applications and systems. Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines to ensure testing happens frequently and efficiently with each code change. Support production release validation activities and perform post-deployment verification testing when required. Maintain and improve automated test coverage to ensure critical business functions are consistently validated. Provide detailed test reports on automation progress, test results, and coverage using dashboards and metrics (e.g., using TestRail, Jira).
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in QA automation, including the development, execution, and maintenance of automated test scripts and test suites Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript for developing and maintaining automated test solutions. Hands-on experience in writing automated tests using tools like (e.g., Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cypress). Ability to effectively use AI tools and technologies to improve productivity and accelerate testing activities Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to validate service functionality, integrations, and data accuracy. Working knowledge of Agile development practices and Scrum frameworks. Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, including integrating and executing automated tests within continuous integration and deployment pipelines Proficient with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, Xray, Zephyr Exposure to mobile application automation, including testing on iOS and Android is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good written, verbal, and collaboration skills Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Work EnvironmentFull-time position (on-site) 5 days a week during probation period.
