IT Quality Control Analyst

About the role

SmartLogix is seeking an IT Quality Control Analyst to plan, execute, and document software testing activities. The role helps ensure applications meet business requirements and quality standards, and supports the delivery of reliable technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and quality metrics.
• Perform System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing.
• Validate system functionality against business and technical requirements.
• Identify, document, report, and track software defects through resolution.
• Participate in peer reviews of testing artifacts.
• Collect, prepare, and maintain test data for validation activities.
• Document testing results and provide recommendations regarding application readiness.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project teams, and end users to resolve issues and validate solutions.
• Support software deployment and production validation activities.
• Follow established SDLC, testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
• Contribute to improvements in testing procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain testing documentation and support quality metrics reporting.
• Assist with critical testing for production releases and business-driven initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
