About the role
Corning Incorporated is looking for an experienced IT Solution Architect to help modernize and improve its Order-to-Cash (OTC) technology landscape. You will work with a team of Solution Architects to design and support IT solutions aligned with technical roadmaps, guide Architecture and Service Owners, and help deliver projects and system enhancements that meet business needs. The role oversees OTC systems, supports end-of-life system transitions, and ensures integration across supply chain processes. It also provides technical leadership to agile teams of SAP Senior Analysts and involves working with external partners and consultants in a DevOps environment.
Responsibilities
- Align OTC system initiatives with the broader IT OTC landscape, guided by a leading Architect, by creating technical designs from functional requirements and user stories.
- Lead agile teams that temporarily group IT sales or Logistic Execution experts, internal and external, to execute technical designs and enhance and support solutions to Corning’s and industry standards.
- Support the creation and ongoing maintenance of a roadmap for sales systems, specifically SAP ECC, to promote scalability, efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance OTC technologies and processes, emphasizing business value through process mining tools such as SAP Signavio.
- Coordinate enhancements with the IT PMO for end-of-life system transitions, aiming for minimal disruption and smooth deployment of new solutions.
- Collaborate with Project Managers as a technical consultant and liaison between software vendors and internal IT teams. Build a network with subject matter experts inside Corning.
- Act as the subject matter expert for sales processes.
