Junior Backend Developer .NET

We’re Hiring: Junior Software & Data Developer — C# / .NET / SQL ServerGuatemala | Hybrid — 80% Remote / 20% On-Site
At DataMoover, we’re looking for a Junior Software & Data Developer to join our growing technology team.
We are looking for someone who enjoys programming, understands relational databases, has solid SQL fundamentals, and wants to build experience working with APIs, cloud technologies, data integrations, and Microsoft Azure.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer who wants to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and grow across both software development and data engineering.
What You’ll Do• Develop, document, test, and maintain REST API endpoints using C# and .NET Core.• Integrate internal applications, third-party platforms, and cloud services through REST APIs.• Develop data-driven solutions using SQL Server and relational databases.• Write, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries and database-related processes.• Investigate and resolve application, API, integration, and data-related issues.• Collaborate with developers, data professionals, and other team members to design, build, review, and test solutions.• Follow development standards, source-control practices, and structured deployment processes.• Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and development practices.
What We’re Looking For• Good understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.• Basic knowledge of C# and .NET Core.• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and client-server architecture.• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps Repos, or similar version-control tools.• Basic understanding of cloud computing and Microsoft Azure.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to research, learn, and troubleshoot independently.• Good communication and teamwork skills.• Professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish.• Must be legally eligible to work in Guatemala.
Nice to Have• Familiarity with Entity Framework Core or another ORM.• Exposure to Azure services such as App Service, Azure Functions, Storage, or Service Bus.• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or DevOps practices.• Experience developing personal, academic, internship, or professional software projects.• Familiarity with stored procedures, views, database design, or SQL performance concepts.
Work ModelThis is a hybrid position based in Guatemala, with approximately:🏠 80% Remote🏢 20% On-SiteOn-site collaboration may be required for team meetings, project activities, training, or other scheduled business needs.
