Underwriting Specialist📍 Location: Bogotá & Barranquilla, Colombia (On-site only)🕒 Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
A well-established General Agency in the Tri-State area is seeking an Underwriting Specialist to join its team in a full-time, on-site capacity.The ideal candidate will have experience in the Employee Benefits industry, particularly with the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. This role involves marketing medical plans and ancillary lines of coverage with major insurance carriers, gathering employer information, interacting with clients and carriers, and preparing cost analysis presentations.
📋 Responsibilities📊 Gather census, claims, and plan information from current clients.📈 Prepare accurate and detailed client presentations using Excel and other reporting platforms.📨 Organize and submit requests to insurance carriers.⏳ Manage the RFP (Request for Proposal) process, including:Tracking carrier questions.Coordinating carrier responses.Ensuring compliance with deadlines.
✅ Requirements🔹 Minimum 1 year of experience in Employee Benefits or a related field (US based).🔹 English C1🔹 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
