Junior Project Manager IT Technology Systems

About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our Technology Consulting practice. In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of IT and technology systems projects for our clients — including software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and digital transformation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to develop project management expertise while working alongside experienced consultants and technical teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Senior Project Managers in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets for IT/technology engagementsTrack project milestones, deliverables, and timelines using project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana)Coordinate communication between clients, internal technical teams, and third-party vendorsPrepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and change requestsSupport resource allocation and capacity planning across concurrent projectsMonitor project budgets and flag variances to senior stakeholdersFacilitate stand-ups, status meetings, and stakeholder check-insIdentify project risks and escalate issues to senior project management staff in a timely mannerSupport quality assurance and testing coordination during system implementationsContribute to post-project reviews and lessons-learned documentationAssist in the development of client-facing presentations and deliverables
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)0–2 years of experience in project coordination, IT, or a technology consulting environment (internships count)Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, or hybrid approaches)Familiarity with project management/tracking tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Trello, Asana, Smartsheet)Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (especially Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides)Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
