The ideal candidate thrives on legal research, persuasive argument drafting, and transforming complex client histories into compelling personal declarations. Because we serve a diverse client base, full bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required to interview clients directly and draft accurate legal documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Writing & Motion Drafting: Draft persuasive legal briefs, pre-hearing statements, motions to terminate, motions to reopen, bond motions, appellate briefs, and legal memorandums for EOIR proceedings.Client Declarations & Affidavit Drafting: Conduct in-depth, compassionate client interviews in Spanish to craft detailed, highly persuasive written affidavits and narrative personal declarations in English.Legal Research & Case Strategy: Conduct targeted legal research on evolving BIA decisions, circuit court case law, country conditions, and statutory relief requirements to support motion arguments.Relief Application Packets: Synthesize supporting evidence, expert declarations, and country condition exhibits into cohesive, well-indexed removal defense filings (Asylum, Withholding of Removal, CAT, Cancellation of Removal, and Adjustment of Status).Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with lead immigration attorneys to refine legal theories, edit draft filings, and align writing with overarching court strategies.QualificationsExperience: 1+ years of dedicated experience drafting legal arguments, motions, and client declarations for EOIR removal defense cases.Exceptional Writing & Analytical Skills: Proven ability to construct clear, logical, and persuasive legal arguments.
