Job Summary
We are looking for a junior and detail-oriented Economics Research Analyst to join our Investment Research team. The selected candidate will support macroeconomic research by maintaining databases, preparing tables and charts, analyzing key economic indicators such as GDP, inflation, and unemployment, and monitoring economic policy and public policy developments. The analyst will also support economic forecasting, research materials, presentations, and publications, working in both Spanish and English to deliver accurate and consistent insights for stakeholders
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport senior economists in the macroeconomic coverage of Latin America, with a particular focus on the region's larger economies. Monitor, organize and analyze economic indicators, policy announcements, political developments and market-moving news across Latin America. Contribute to the publication of high-frequency, weekly and monthly reports, providing analysis of these data and events, and outlining potential market implications. Assist in developing, updating and refining macroeconomic forecasts for LatAm economies, contributing to the Emerging Markets and Global Economic Research departments' outlooks. Build, update and maintain economic databases, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely availability of data for research production. Collaborate proactively with senior economists on thematic research pieces, including longer-form analysis of macroeconomic, political and policy issues in the region, along with global developments of relevance to LatAm.
Core Competencies0-3 years of relevant experience in economic research Undergraduate degree in economics or a closely related field. A master's degree in economics is highly advantageous but not required. Keen interest in Latin American macroeconomics, politics, public policy and global financial markets.
Required QualificationsGraduate degree in Economics or Commercial Engineering. Postgraduate studies in related fields are desirable.Spanish and English are required, Portuguese is a plus.
