Lead Data Engineer

Build Data | Power Decisions | Lead Scalable Architecture
We're looking for a Lead Data Engineer to support one of our U.S.-based clients, providing both technical leadership and hands-on expertise across data architecture, integration, and analytics initiatives. This role goes beyond building ETLs—you'll drive data strategy, guide technical decisions, mentor team members, and ensure that business-critical data is accurate, reliable, and accessible across the organization.

In this role, you'll help lead the design and evolution of data solutions that support business operations, reporting, and strategic decision-making for a fast-growing U.S. organization.
What You’ll Own
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft BI Suite (SSIS)Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, and external systemsDevelop and maintain RESTful API integrations for automated data ingestionEnsure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all data workflowsWrite, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored proceduresSupport data modeling and database design for reporting and operational needsMonitor and improve database and pipeline performanceDevelop and maintain Power BI dashboards aligned with business KPIsManage Power BI administration (workspaces, access control, dataset governance)Translate business requirements from U.S. stakeholders into scalable technical solutionsTroubleshoot data issues and implement long-term, scalable fixesOptimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalabilityMaintain clear documentation of data architecture, workflows, and processes
Who Thrives Here
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Strong experience with Microsoft BI Suite (SSIS)Advanced SQL development (queries, views, stored procedures)Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and managing administrationSolid programming experience in PythonExperience working with REST APIs and data integration projectsStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple data workflows and priorities in a client-facing environmentEnglish speaker at a B2 or C1 levelEngineers who enjoy mentoring and developing othersProfessionals who balance hands-on work with technical leadershipIndividuals who influence decisions through expertise and collaborationLeaders who take ownership of outcomes and drive continuous improvementStrong communicators who can align technical solutions with business goals
