Lead Software Engineer

We're looking for a Nearshore Tech Lead who thrives in a startup-like environment inside an established auto lender. This isn't a traditional lead role where you manage from a distance — you're architecting, shipping production code, and setting the engineering bar for the team. Real technical ownership from day one with direct visibility into the products that power the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & DevelopmentArchitect, build, and operate full-stack services and user experiences powering loan origination, decisioning, and servicing on our new Flagship PlatformShip features end-to-end: Next.js frontend, C#/.NET backend, PostgreSQL, and AWS ECS infrastructureTranslate complex financial and operational workflows into clean, performant, well-tested code that holds up under regulatory scrutiny and production loadAPI & Platform IntegrationLead integrations with credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion), dealer systems (DealerTrack, RouteOne), fraud and verification providers, and third-party partners — including contract design, retry/idempotency strategy, and operational runbooksExtend and customize the DEFI Solutions loan origination platform — configuring workflows, scorecards, rules, and decision flows via REST APIs and MSSQLTechnical LeadershipOwn the technical direction for the nearshore squad — you set the patterns, everyone else followsRun design reviews, provide technical guidance, and onboard engineers joining after youServe as the bridge between the nearshore delivery squad and US-based stakeholders — strong English communication is a mustDrive observability, performance, reliability, and security across all services you ownEngineering PracticesSet the standard for testing, observability, security, and CI/CD across the teamLead by example on AI-assisted development — GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code — accelerating delivery without sacrificing qualityCollaborate directly with Product, Design, and business stakeholders from problem framing through production rollout
Must-Haves7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven lead or senior IC track recordExpert-level C#/.NET backend and React/Next.js frontendStrong PostgreSQL, RESTful API design, and SQL Server/T-SQLHands-on AWS experience — ECS, EKS, Fargate, DockerExperience integrating with multiple vendor systems (bureaus, dealer systems, etc.)Daily AI tooling proficiency — you're setting the standard for the teamStrong English communication for daily standups and US stakeholder collaboration
