Legal Associate

As we continue to expand our Compliance team, we are looking for a Lawyer/Legal Associate (contractor position) for our office in Uruguay, based at the WTC in Montevideo. In this role, you will be responsible to conduct Know-Your-Client (KYC) processes for our clients.
As a Lawyer/Legal Associate within the Compliance team, the position requires the following:
MISSION:Review documentation received from legal entities and individuals in the framework of standardized KYC processes.Conduct enhanced background checks.Liaise with all relevant stakeholders, including legal entities and individuals to expedite the KYC process.Analyze red flags and risks based on the corporate structure of legal entities and background reports.Draft KYC reports upon completion of the KYC process and related reports.
PROFILE:Law degree, compliance diploma or specialization is welcomed.Junior to mid level position.Fluent in English (spoken and written). Additional language skills would be a plus.Strong interest in compliance matters with previous experience in third party due diligence checks.Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving.IT literate. At ease using Office suite, SharePoint and web-based tools.Interest in working in an international environment.
