Role Description The Lider de IA y Automatización is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bogotá, D.C., with the possibility of working from home part of the time. This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of AI and automation solutions that support mission-critical IT operations and services. Day-to-day tasks include identifying automation opportunities across infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity services, coordinating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, and translating business needs into scalable AI-driven workflows. The leader will manage project timelines, oversee integration with existing systems, monitor performance and reliability, and ensure solutions align with security and compliance standards. The role also includes mentoring team members, documenting best practices, and staying current with emerging AI, automation, and IT operations trends to continuously improve service delivery.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in AI, machine learning, and process automation solutions, including design, implementation, and optimization.Experience with IT operations, infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity environments, ideally in high-availability or mission-critical contexts.Proficiency in scripting or programming languages commonly used for automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with automation platforms or orchestration tools.Demonstrated ability to lead projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver solutions on time and within scope.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to translate business requirements into technical solutions and measurable outcomes.Clear and effective communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.Experience in documenting processes, creating technical guidelines, and establishing standards and best practices for automation and AI initiatives.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant certifications in AI, cloud, or automation tools are a plus.Comfort working in a hybrid model based in Bogotá, D.C., with the discipline to manage tasks both on-site and remotely.Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and non-discriminatory practices in team leadership and solution design.
