Maintenance Electrician

The Role:
• Will be responsible for safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance of electrical systems, plant, and equipment. Support operational continuity by ensuring reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Involved in preventative maintenance inspections, fault-finding, repair, and installation and testing.

Qualifications:
• Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification (e.g. QQI Level 6 Advance Certificate - Electrical)
• Registered electrician with Safe Electric (or eligible to register)
• Experience in maintenance environment, strong fault-finding, and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Good understanding of Irish electrical safety legislation and standards

Responsibilities:
• Carry out planned PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and building services
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests, diagnose electrical faults, carry out timely and effective repairs to minimise downtime
• Support installations, commissioning, and modification of equipment and machinery
• Support shutdowns, project work, and commissioning of new equipment
• Perform testing, inspection, and certification of electrical installations
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
• Ensure all work complies with ET101/ET102 National Rules for Electrical Installations and company procedures
• Adhere to all health and safety requirements
• Maintain accurate records
• Liaise with production, facilities, and external contractors as required
