Maintenance Engineer

About the role

KEMET Electronics Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead and manage technical personnel, coordinate daily preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and develop plans to improve equipment performance and reliability. The role supports manufacturing equipment operation, production objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a full-time position at the San Nicolás, NL plant.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance indicators to help avoid unscheduled stoppages.
• Coordinate, lead, and train assigned technical personnel, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Manage department budgets, spare parts, and inventory.
• Develop and maintain work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Use quality tools and problem-solving methodologies to identify and eliminate root causes.
• Apply Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles, including MTTR, MTBF, preventive and corrective maintenance, and FMEA.
• Develop and execute work plans for equipment installation, relocation, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, mechatronic engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years as a supervisor working with technical personnel in a manufacturing environment in maintenance.
