Maintenance Manager

About the role

DC Global Talent Inc. is looking for a Maintenance Manager for a luxury boutique resort in the Dominican Republic. The role is responsible for managing the Maintenance Department and overseeing facilities operations across guest rooms, villas, condominiums, public areas, and infrastructure. The position is listed at USD $40,000 + Housing Allowance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise maintenance operations across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and infrastructure systems.
• Design and oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programmes across the resort.
• Ensure villas, condominiums, and managed properties are maintained and presented properly, with functionality, safety, and structural integrity.
• Coordinate property inspections and follow up on repairs, owner requests, and guest concerns.
• Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, control costs, track variances, and identify savings opportunities.
• Monitor energy, water, and utility consumption and implement sustainability and efficiency initiatives.
• Oversee procurement, vendors, contractors, and department inventory, including spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Lead, train, and develop the maintenance team, promoting operational discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Manager or Director role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Strong technical background across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
