ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for a Maintenance Manager for a luxury boutique resort in the Dominican Republic. This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the overall management of the Maintenance Department, overseeing the resort's full facilities operation across guest rooms, villas, condominiums, public areas, and infrastructure. The right candidate brings strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to asset management, and the leadership skills to build and develop a high-performing team.
WHAT YOU'LL DODirect and supervise all maintenance operations across the property including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and infrastructure systemsDesign and oversee a comprehensive preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programme for all areas of the resortEnsure the maintenance, preservation, and proper presentation of villas, condominiums, and managed properties, guaranteeing functionality, safety, and structural integrityCoordinate periodic property inspections and ensure prompt follow-up on repairs, owner requests, and guest concernsPrepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, controlling costs, tracking variances, and identifying savings opportunitiesMonitor energy, water, and utility consumption across the property and implement sustainability and efficiency initiativesOversee procurement, vendor management, and contractor performance for all maintenance-related services and suppliesManage department inventory including spare parts, tools, and equipmentLead, train, and develop the maintenance team, promoting operational discipline, safety, and a culture of continuous improvement
WHAT YOU BRING3 to 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Manager or Director role within a luxury hotel or resort environmentStrong technical background across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systemsExperience overseeing villa or condominium maintenance is a strong advantageSolid budget management and cost control skillsProven ability to lead and develop a maintenance teamSpanish proficiency is required given the locationHigh school diploma or equivalent; Hotel Management degree or diploma is an asset
