The team is committed to building a conscientious, eco-aware hospitality experience that balances guest comfort with environmental responsibility.Role Description The Maintenance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Arca in Roatán. This role oversees the hotel’s maintenance operations, ensuring all facilities, equipment, and systems are functioning safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules, coordinating repair work, inspecting property systems and guest areas, and responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner. The Maintenance Manager supervises maintenance staff, manages vendor relationships, monitors inventory of tools and supplies, and maintains accurate maintenance records. This role collaborates closely with operations and guest services teams to support a high-quality, sustainable guest experience.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Maintenance Management and Supervisory Skills to lead maintenance operations and oversee team performance.Candidates should possess Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure reliable operation of hotel systems.Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills to design and implement maintenance schedules that reduce downtime and extend equipment life.Experience in hospitality, property management, or facilities management is beneficial.Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems, with a focus on safety and compliance.Ability to work on-site in Roatán, manage multiple priorities, and respond to emergencies outside standard hours when needed.Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.Relevant technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, engineering, or a related field is an asset.
