This role leads a team of engineers responsible for designing, developing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing scalable, high-performance software and product applications. Leveraging industry best practices, the Manager of Software & Product Engineering plans and directs the resources and processes needed to execute the vision and strategy, delivering robust, customer-focused solutions that drive product innovation.
ResponsibilitiesProvides leadership, innovation, and direction to guide and support the Software & Product Engineering team, shaping the specifications and standards that guide scalable, high-quality development.Leads a team of engineers responsible for coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting across the full development lifecycle to ensure high-quality delivery. Assists in the determination of project milestones and delivery timelines. Manages resources to release products on time and within budget.Evaluates application requirements and architects database solutions that ensure scalability, performance, and data integrity. Identifies tools and methodologies to streamline development.Ensures the team meets project milestones and completes projects within the established timeline. Evaluates issues, provides resolution, and notifies senior leadership of any recurring issues. Organizes, manages, and reports on delivery for projects.Drives continuous improvement activities, reviews progress reports, and recommends process improvements to facilitate development and implementation.Establishes and/or approves team's operating policies and procedures and monitors to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
Who We’re Looking ForBachelor's degree (or international equivalent), required.Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field6+ years of related experience required.8+ years of related experience, preferred.Background and data analytics o Data Solutions.Experience in people management, software or product engineering experience collaborating with Product Managers and Designers in cross-functional teams, required. Experience with Git/GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, CircleCI, required. Experience developing in Agile, SCRUM, or similar iterative methodologies, required. Experience in fast-growing companies or entrepreneurial environments, required. GitHub or Stack Overflow profile showing contributions to open-source or personal projects, required.Comprehensive industry knowledge with an understanding of best practices and processes related to leading software & product engineering teams.Technical acumen with the ability to abstract from a detailed business requirement the necessary technical specifications to see how that detail can broadly be delivered utilizing all available tools and technologies.Expert interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop others and build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.Proven project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines or conflicting demands, implementing or adapting to change in work or procedure as needed.Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Asana, etc. with the ability to utilize various programming languages, technology stacks, and related data technologies along with other internal and external integration frameworks.Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to easily prototype and experiment. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required. Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.
