About the role
Zobele, part of kdc/one, is a multinational global leader in product development and manufacturing and a key partner of top Home & Personal Care FMCG companies. The Hermosillo, Mexico site is looking for a Material Planning Specialist to ensure raw material supply for production plans while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and supporting departmental and plant objectives.
Responsibilities
- Comply with and follow up on established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize system exception messages, and review and manage shortage and Material Risk reports.
- Generate purchase orders for raw materials, confirm material delivery schedules, and respond to supplier communications and inquiries.
- Analyze demand changes and their impact on material requirements.
- Manage imports, shipment logistics, and domestic and international transportation activities; confirm scheduled material pickups.
- Attend CFT (Cross-Functional Team) meetings and update purchase orders based on supplier invoices received.
- Analyze materials with special situations, including purchases below or above agreed Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ).
- Confirm production requirements and update weekly demand loading schedules.
- Propose and implement improvements to work processes involving MOQ, warehousing and storage, transportation, and material handling.
- Support implementation and maintenance of the 5S culture and participate in Kaizen initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Follow up on supplier payments and payment scheduling with the Finance team.
- Track material changes related to new projects or business initiatives.
- Analyze customer Safety Stock, DFC, and Safety Time.
