Materials Superintendent

About the role

Smpcorp is seeking a Materials Superintendent in Reynosa, Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the Receiving, Warehouse, Planning, Purchasing and Shipping areas.
• Ensure timely processing of inventory transactions for raw materials and finished goods moving within the plant.
• Ensure compliance with the annual cycle count program.
• Serve as the plant point of contact for materials-related issues.
• Ensure personnel under your leadership follow company policies and safety standards.
• Work with other plant and interplant departments to meet targets and goals set by upper management.
• Generate and maintain KPIs and metrics to monitor and continuously improve Materials Department areas.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of personnel management experience in materials-related areas.
• Experience with JDE/AS400 system preferred.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Able to work and communicate at all levels of the organization.
• High-level knowledge of Excel preferred.
• Strong analysis, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Able to handle multiple projects and prioritize accordingly.
• High sense of responsibility and urgency.
