Qualifications:
• Level 8 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and a minimum of 2 years experience in wastewater treatment plant operations and mechanical maintenance OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field and a minimum of 4 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a wastewater treatment plant.
• Strong knowledge of water chemistry and environmental compliance standards
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems and diagnosing tools
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and documentation
• Excellent problem solving skills, work independently or in a team environment
• Desired skills: experience with HVAC systems, boilers, and cooling towers. Knowledge of energy conservation practices, ability to create technical documentation

Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems (pumps, valves, filtration units)
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, piping systems)
• Conduct water and nutrient analysis (pH, TDS, COD, ammonia, nitrate, phosphate, sulfate) to ensure compliance with standards
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures
• Maintain accurate records of operational data, maintenance activities, and chemical analysis results
• Implementation of compliance, environmental regulations
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with facility management and engineering teams
