LanguagesCX is seeking a dedicated Medical Interpreter (Spanish to English) to join our team in Lima, Lima Province, Peru. This full-time role is vital for bridging communication between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare providers, ensuring access to quality medical care without language barriers. Key Responsibilities Provide precise medical interpretation services between Spanish and English, ensuring clear communication for patients and healthcare professionals. Facilitate remote consultations via Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) and Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) in fast-paced medical environments. Translate medical documents and patient education materials accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Manage multiple interpretation cases daily, prioritizing requests efficiently with excellent time management skills. Build rapport and trust with patients and healthcare staff by demonstrating cultural sensitivity and professionalism. Maintain detailed records of all interpretation interactions and follow-ups to support medical documentation. Engage in ongoing training to stay updated on medical terminology and interpretation best practices. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics or related field is required. Proven experience in medical interpretation with strong bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Skilled in simultaneous interpretation and medical translation techniques. Excellent verbal communication, customer service orientation, and attention to detail. Ability to work full-time onsite in Lima, Peru.
