Role Description The Medical Plan Manager is a remote, contract role responsible for overseeing and coordinating a discount medical plan and all related administrative processes. This role includes managing care plans, communicating all important stakeholders and allied providers and managing all clerical work.
ResponsibilitiesManage communication and relationships between medical centers, specialists, sales agents, and other partners.Support contract management and tracking.Maintain updated member registry systems.Process payments, cancellations, payment method updates, and other account changes.Perform back-office functions.Support social media management and digital communications.
QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.Industry Experience: 3+ years in healthcare administration, provider network operations, or discount medical plan management.Provider & Partner Relations: Strong background in managing relationships with clinics, specialists, and sales brokers.Contract Management: Hands-on experience overseeing medical provider contracts, fee schedules, and service agreements.Systems & Data Management: Proficiency in CRM systems and membership databases to maintain accurate registry records.Financial Operations: Experience processing recurring payments, cancellations, billing updates, and account adjustments.Digital Communication: Familiarity with social media management platforms and email marketing tools for digital outreach.Regulatory Awareness: General knowledge of healthcare compliance, discount health plan disclosures, and data privacy standards.Key Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong diplomatic communication, and multi-tasking abilities in a back-office setting.
