Position: Veterinarian Specialist in Internal Medicine and Emergencies Join our veterinary clinic located in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, as a Médico Veterinario Especialista en Medicina Interna y Emergencias. You will play a crucial role in providing expert medical care and emergency treatment to animal patients, ensuring their health and well-being in a professional and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Perform accurate diagnostics and develop treatment plans for animals with internal diseases and emergency conditions. Provide urgent care and stabilize patients in emergency situations, delivering internal medicine and emergency services. Conduct simple surgical procedures; knowledge of complex cases is a plus. Manage client communication by explaining diagnoses, treatments, and post-operative care clearly. Collaborate with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure compassionate and effective patient care. Educate pet owners on preventive care and health management for their animals. Participate in continuous education and seminars to stay updated on the latest veterinary practices. Requirements and Preferred Qualifications Degree in Veterinary Medicine. Minimum of 1 year experience in internal medicine and emergency veterinary care. Strong knowledge of veterinary disease diagnosis and treatment. Excellent client service and communication skills. Ability to work well under stress and as part of a team. Certifications in veterinary medicine and emergency care highly valued. Proficiency in veterinary software for patient management. This is a full-time position based in Santiago de los Caballeros. Remote work is not available.
