About the role
Hcpackaging is seeking a Molding Process Technician to support injection molding production.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company requirements within the assigned area.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Start up machines and molds, and ensure the process reaches stable operating conditions before production release.
- Set, monitor, and adjust injection molding parameters, including barrel and mold temperatures, injection pressure and speed, holding pressure and time, back pressure, screw speed, cooling time, cycle time, and transfer position.
- Monitor machines, molds, materials, and process conditions throughout production runs.
- Address color or production changes that may affect product quality or appearance.
- Process thermoplastic materials properly, including ABS, PP, TPE, PETG, RTP, and other materials used in production.
- Apply Scientific Molding principles to establish, validate, and control processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap, cycle time, productivity, and defect reduction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- More than three years of experience in injection molding.
- Experience with mold installation, setup, and changeovers.
- Experience with machine startup and process parameter adjustments.
