About the role
EXL is seeking a Network Administrator to administer and support enterprise network systems. The role includes network design, technology evaluations, network architecture and topology development, and maintaining network and system specifications.
Responsibilities
- Configure, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco routers, switches, VPNs, Meraki Wireless, Velocloud SD-WAN, and Cisco ISE.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using WhatsUp, MRTG, Nectus, ThousandEyes, and DNA Center.
- Manage internet connectivity, remote access solutions, and network device inventory.
- Support network change management processes and follow established procedures.
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot network issues, and meet agreed service levels and operational targets.
- Collaborate with network engineers, technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users on network requirements and improvements.
- Maintain network documentation, configurations, and operational standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when required.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in network administration, support, or infrastructure operations.
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- English proficiency at B2 level or above is required.
- CCNA certification is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, VPNs, and IOS.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, routing protocols, IP routing concepts, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Basic administration experience with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
- Understanding of VoIP technologies and network performance analysis.
