About the role
TECEZE is seeking a local engineer to spend approximately one week onsite conducting a detailed physical site assessment.
Responsibilities
- Discover network infrastructure, including server rooms, communications rooms, rack layouts and rack diagrams.
- Validate the inventory of existing network equipment.
- Assess fiber utilization, spare capacity, power availability and rack space availability.
- Photograph network rooms, infrastructure and factory areas.
- Collect information about unmanaged desktops and laptops, printers, meeting room equipment and other locally managed devices connected to the network.
Requirements
- Tools required: laptop with the Teams app installed, smartphone or camera for site and equipment photos, one Cat6 network cable, RJ45-to-USB console cable for switch or router access if required, USB-to-Ethernet adapter if the laptop does not have an Ethernet port, USB drive for transferring files, logs or configurations if needed, LAN tester and fiber tester.
