Network Specialist

About the role

Demant is looking for an experienced Network Specialist to join its Global IT Infrastructure & Operations organization. As part of a dedicated networking team, you will help ensure the stability, security, and performance of the global network environment, working with colleagues across multiple locations to maintain high availability, drive optimization, and support infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line support for network incidents across global sites, including advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Monitor, maintain, and improve LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and software-defined network (SDN) environments.
• Configure, administer, and support switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, and load balancers.
• Fulfill network service requests, prioritizing them by severity, business impact, and operational urgency.
• Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall rules, access lists, segmentation, and Zero Trust principles.
• Manage network equipment lifecycle activities, including patching, upgrades, migrations, and replacement.
• Participate in infrastructure and cloud connectivity projects, ensuring network readiness and alignment with architectural standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to follow up on incidents, resolve ongoing issues, and support stable global operations.
• Document network topology, procedures, and operational runbooks to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and improvements in network monitoring and alerting.

Requirements

• Experience administering and supporting enterprise-grade network hardware, such as Cisco or similar.
• Experience managing LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure, including routing (OSPF/BGP) and switching.
