To us, it’s about more than simply accepting your next job opportunity.We’re seeking a Operations Manager; Direct Hire position to work at an international organization with a strong presence across multiple markets in San Juan, Puerto Rico.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.In addition, Master degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Strategic Management, or a related discipline is a plus.Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including at least 6 years in leadership roles managing teams and operations.Experience overseeing engineering, infrastructure, or large-scale operational projects.Experience working in regulated environments and commitment to operational excellence.Bilingual Spanish and English required.Required SkillsStrong leadership, organizational, project management, negotiation, and change management skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence personnel at all levels of the organization, from executive leadership and directors to frontline operators.Knowledge and experience in the operation, maintenance, and reliability management of large-scale outdoor industrial equipment and infrastructure.Knowledge and experience in the handling, storage, transportation, and regulatory compliance of hazardous materials and bulk tank systems, with a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership and oversight for operational teams across multiple locations.Ensure safe, efficient, reliable, and high-performing operations while maintaining compliance with company standards and procedures.Manage operational and capital budgets, driving cost optimization and service excellence.Lead continuous improvement initiatives and operational transformation projects.Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.Foster a culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and professional development.Serve as a key liaison with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders as required.Ensure exceptional service delivery and performance standards across all areas of responsibility.
Base Salary: USD $175,000 + by experience plus comprehensive benefits.Location: Puerto Rico (Relocation Assistance Available) USAOpen to candidates outside the US Territory who are available to relocateShift: Administrative - with work schedule flexibility as required to support 24/7 operations, requiring occasional after-hours engineering coverage.
