Operations Manager - Transportation

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations within a fixed-route passenger transportation environment. This role will oversee operational teams, service performance, safety, employee relations, and customer service while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee daily transportation operations and supervisory teams. Ensure safe, reliable, courteous, and on-time passenger service. Monitor operational performance, including on-time performance, service delivery, revenue hours, and mileage. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations. Manage employee and labor relations, including union relationships and compliance with collective bargaining agreements. Collaborate with Maintenance, Safety, and other departments to support operational excellence. Monitor costs, budgets, and operational performance to support financial objectives. Drive continuous improvement, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of management experience in a fixed-route transportation system with more than 100 vehicles. Experience with P&L responsibility, safety management, emergency planning, and operational performance. Experience working with unions and contract negotiations.
