Part-Time AWS Azure Administrator IN

About the role

Syed Mujtaba Safvi is seeking a part-time AWS Cloud Administrator to manage and maintain AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure and servers. The role involves ensuring high availability, security, and cost optimization across both cloud platforms.

Work hours: 15–20 hours per week, with flexible timing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor EC2, 3d, RMS, VPC, IAM, Route53, CloudWatch, Lambda, and CloudFront.
• Configure and maintain backups, snapshots, AMIs, and auto-scaling groups.
• Manage security groups, NACLs, WAF, and SSL certificates; monitor cost and usage and implement cost-saving measures.
• Manage IAM policies and access control.
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, and NSG; optimize Azure deployment and security policies.
• Configure Azure Backup, monitor alerts, and manage cost and resource optimization.
• Administer Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) and Windows Servers; perform patching, updates, and benchmark checks.
• Configure and manage Nginx and Apache web servers, Docker containers, and application deployments.
• Set up and maintain uptime monitoring tools, troubleshoot server and network issues, and document infrastructure and processes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in AWS and Azure administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux server administration and a good understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, VNet, DNS, VPN, and Firewall.
• Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures; knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Azure monitoring.
• Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD concepts.
• Ability to resolve critical issues within 1 hour, with good communication and documentation skills.
• Preferred: experience with Docker and containerization, knowledge of Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, and experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.
