Team members join a company that values safety, quality, and long-term client relationships across a wide variety of industrial and commercial projects.Role Description The Payroll HR Specialist is a full-time, on-site role located in Buffalo, NY, responsible for managing day-to-day payroll and human resources activities. This role includes processing payroll accurately and on schedule, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies. The Payroll HR Specialist supports onboarding and offboarding processes, administers benefits, and responds to employee inquiries regarding pay, timekeeping, and HR policies. Daily responsibilities also include coordinating with managers on personnel changes, preparing HR and payroll reports, and contributing to continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.Qualifications Human Resources (HR) and HR Management skills to handle daily HR operations, employee relations, and support organizational policies.HR Policies and Personnel Management capabilities to implement and maintain compliant procedures, performance documentation, and employee records.Employee Benefits knowledge to administer health, retirement, and other benefit programs, and assist employees with benefits-related questions.Experience with payroll processing, time and attendance systems, and basic accounting or bookkeeping principles.Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling sensitive employee information and financial data.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with employees at all levels and provide clear guidance on HR and payroll matters.Proficiency with HRIS and payroll software, and Microsoft Office or similar tools.Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.Prior experience in construction, industrial services, or a similar environment is beneficial.
