Role DescriptionThe Payroll Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in San Salvador. This position is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting and verifying time and attendance data, calculating wages, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll runs. The role includes administering payroll taxes and deductions, managing garnishments, coordinating with payroll service providers, and maintaining compliance with local regulations and company policies. The Payroll Specialist will respond to employee payroll inquiries, resolve discrepancies, maintain payroll records, and support audits and reporting requirements. Collaboration with HR, Finance, and operations teams is required to ensure smooth payroll operations and a positive employee experience.
QualificationsStrong skills in Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration.Experience with Payroll Taxes and working with Payroll Services or providers.Knowledge of Garnishments and related legal and compliance requirements.Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and proficiency with spreadsheets and payroll software.Understanding of local labor laws and payroll regulations in Honduras.Effective communication skills and ability to manage confidential information with integrity.Ability to work on-site in San Salvador and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Prior experience in payroll or finance; relevant technical or university education in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.Fluent in written and spoken English.
