Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client's team. This is a hands-on role for someone with solid payroll experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time- Maintain and update employee records in ADP- Prepare payroll reports including vacation, sick leave, and accrued benefits- Process checks, direct deposits, and payment stubs- Handle employment and income verifications- Register employees with government agencies including ASUME and the Department of Labor- Process payments to ASUME, Hacienda, and IRS- Ensure compliance with Puerto Rico payroll regulations and labor requirements- Perform data entry and maintain accurate payroll documentation
Qualifications
- Experience in payroll processing — required- Proficiency in ADP — required- Knowledge of Puerto Rico payroll regulations and government agency reporting- Experience with accounting software such as Sage 50/100 or QuickBooks is a plus- Intermediate English proficiency- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities- Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines
