About the role
CE Interim | Cross-cultural Executive Interim Management is seeking an interim Plant Manager for a plant turnaround and leadership transition in Northern Mexico. The client is a US manufacturer of high-volume precision parts for industrial and OEM customers, with manufacturing operations in the United States and Mexico. The mid-sized plant combines a modern machine park with older high-volume equipment and is rebuilding production volumes while improving safety, efficiency, and operational discipline.
The interim leader will take over from the outgoing Plant Manager and report directly to the Group CEO in the United States. The mandate is for 3–6 months.
Responsibilities
- Lead plant operations across safety, production, quality, maintenance, labour efficiency, OEE, and delivery.
- Lead the local management team across HR, EHS, quality, finance, maintenance, and production.
- Complete a fast, structured handover and maintain turnaround momentum.
- Strengthen shop-floor discipline, operational performance, and readiness for increasing production volumes.
- Protect customer confidence in quality and delivery.
Requirements
- Senior Plant Manager or Operations Director with a strong shop-floor leadership orientation.
- Proven experience in precision machining or comparable high-volume, close-tolerance manufacturing.
- Hands-on understanding of CNC turning and milling, Swiss machining, screw machines, or comparable production technologies.
- Fluent Spanish.
- Demonstrated success improving safety, OEE, labour efficiency, and quality.
