Job SummaryResponsible for provisioning, configuring, and continuously operating the Azure AKS infrastructure that supports the claims review platform, including the self-managed deployment of Temporal.io, Kafka configuration, and KEDA-based autoscaling. Simultaneously designs and executes the project’s quality strategy, including automated testing, fault injection, SIT, and UAT coordination. Applies Claude Code to accelerate the generation of manifests, pipelines, and test suites.
Requirements and responsibilities:· Minimum 5 years of experience in Platform Engineering / DevOps with exposure to Java projects.· Kubernetes / AKS: authoring Helm charts, network policies, RBAC, autoscaling (KEDA).· CI/CD: authoring pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions (not just execution).· Basic Apache Kafka operations: topic creation, consumer group management, and monitoring.· Automated testing in Java: JUnit, Testcontainers, or the Temporal testing framework.· Performance testing: k6, Gatling, or equivalent; ability to interpret results.· Azure: Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Key Vault, managed identities, and TLS configuration.· Observability tools: Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or equivalent.· Microsoft Office tools: Excel for test result analysis and KPI reporting.· Claude Code: skills, MCPs, agents, hooks, commands, rules, memory, subagents, and claude.md.· Prompt engineering applied to manifest generation, pipeline creation, and test case generation.· Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).· Experience in QA for insurance or claims systems.· Familiarity with LFPDPPP or data privacy regulations applicable in Mexico.· Provision and manage AKS namespaces (development and production) in the Azure MX region, ensuring environment separation through network policies and RBAC.· Deploy and operate Temporal Server using the official Helm chart with Azure SQL persistence.· Document upgrade, backup, and disaster recovery runbooks.· Configure Kafka topics, DLQs, and consumer groups for the system.· Implement KEDA ScaledObjects for worker pod autoscaling based on consumer lag.· Manage Azure Key Vault, workload-managed identities, and TLS/mTLS policies in Temporal Frontend and integration services.· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for build, testing, security scanning, and deployment to AKS.· Design the project’s testing strategy, including unit, integration, fault injection, SIT, and performance testing.· Execute load testing at 150% of peak volume (≥ 13,500 claims/month equivalent).· Implement automated test suites using the Temporal.io testing framework and Testcontainers.· Generate fault injection scenarios with support from Claude Code.· Configure Dynatrace, including agents, dashboards, alerts, and SLA thresholds.· Ensure visibility into distributed traces and claims execution history through Temporal Web UI.· Coordinate SIT activities with CT and SFSA teams.· Support UAT execution alongside the claims SME and manage defect closure.· Deliver operational runbooks, escalation guides, and on-call procedures to the operations team.· Design and implement AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure).· Apply best practices in prompt engineering, context window management, cost optimization, and RAG technologies.· Ensure scalable and high-performance solutions.· Master and apply the Claude Code ecosystem, including skills, MCPs, agents, hooks, commands, rules, permissions, memory, subagents, and claude.md.· Automate and enhance software development workflows across organizational teams.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the definition, analysis, and delivery of innovative solutions.· Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.· Apply Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) for the management and tracking of AI initiatives.· Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.· Specialization or certification in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Azure DevOps, or equivalent.· AZ-400 DevOps Engineer, AZ-104 Azure Administrator, or equivalent certification.
