Join The Security Strategy Research Institute of Japan as a Political & Foreign Affairs Consultant based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to influence international relations and political policies through strategic analysis and research. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth political analysis and research to deliver actionable recommendations. Monitor geopolitical trends and assess their impact on foreign policy decisions. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior stakeholders. Engage with government officials, NGOs, and other stakeholders to gather critical insights. Collaborate with team members to design comprehensive consultancy proposals. Present research findings at workshops and seminars to internal and external audiences. Evaluate and refine strategies based on effectiveness and stakeholder feedback. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with expertise in interpreting complex political data. Proven experience in political analysis and research methodologies. Proficiency in relevant research software and analytical tools. At least 5 years of experience in political consulting or a similar role. This role requires close collaboration with a diverse team of political analysts and researchers to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Reporting directly to senior management, you will contribute significantly to shaping public affairs strategies.
